I think getting it in on the turn is a bad play here. Vilain seems to be loose passive. Should I just call his raise and revaluate the river?
I mean I'm get 4,5:1 odds and i have 10 Outs to a full house if he has the flush. Giving that I do get the right price here? (52-6)/10 = 4,6 = right price?
I'm probably just calling his min-raise on the turn and evaluating the river. Maybe we'd have been able to find a fold? Doubtful given his stack size but this line feels pretty flushy.
Why do you bet so big OTF? Think it works better to bet small here if we're gonna be betting most of our range. I like just calling turn and then going from there. I do think V's raise here is often a flush though, and don't show spoilers next time.
Betting the flop into 2 players when an ace rolls off isn't good. What are you hoping to accomplish here? The only worse hand that will call is hearts and they would probably bet if checked to anyways. Any better hand is probably going to call and then you are in a tough situation unless an eight comes on the turn.
As played, he probably isn't min-raising the turn unless he has a flush. I definitely call his raise and look to stack him when I fill up.
Checking flop and b/c'ing turn. Not a big fan of c-betting flop, although I don't think it's as awful as everyone else thinks. We do have range advantage; betting small with most of our range is an option. I think having a checking range is still more +EV -- I'm personally checking my 7x's, my middle pocket pairs, and some of my weak suited aces -- but I'd be surprised if c-betting small with 88 is just completely lighting money on fire.
