Hey guys,

I had a mildly interestbg spot come up last night while playing and its been bugging me since, i think maybe i shouldnt have folded but just want to get some other opinions. The fold was based solely off The stats i had and im not sure i interpreted them correctly or i just got to cautious.

6 max 1c2c poker stars

Villian is vpip 4 pf 2 3b 0 based on around 50 hands - i took this as hes a nit.

Villian limps pre from early position i raise to 0.09c with QQ from LP folders round to V who calls.

Flop 886

V checks

I bet 0.12c

V raises fairly big - about 0.40 i think it was.

I think about it and fold then instantly start questioning myself.

My thinking, hes a nit who might play KK this way fearing for an A on the flop thats why there was no pfr? Maybe 66 and flopped a full house? AA is out the question as he would have raised pre. I dont give them any 8s really considering stats, unless its 88 which doesnt seem likly as i think a trap would have been set.
Other than these i think 99 TT & JJ are all possible, which makes my fold bad.... but i do think if i call and he fires the turn im in a bit of a tough spot so rather than have to make that discision, i folded to the check raise....

Thoughts?

Rainbow flop so no flush draw and looks like my memory was wrong, my bet was 0.10 and his raise was 0.28....

Please tell me we're missing a 1 from these because this is absurdly nitty.

Just snap fold vs. this guy. Don't get involved with them unless you hit the nuts. They can have the 1/50 flops they actually play in between folding their stack away to the blinds.

So essentially he's been at the table for 50 hands and he's played two of them, 3-betting once.

Sick life for him if he bluffed us here, I guess. Worst case scenario from folding is in another two hours time we might lose another c-bet to his crazy plays. More likely is he out-flopped us or limped aces.

I look at these players like this: they're sitting in the corner folding their blinds away and it's just nice to not have a decent reg fighting with us over who gets to play with the fish. Don't hand them chips, it'll be hours before you get them back.

I agree, doubt someone playing this way is going to raise you without the nuts. All of a sudden he is bluffing you? Unlikely.

Thanks for the input everyone.

I was playing last night and there were a few other people with crazy low stats playing AA this way (limping pre and then spazzing flop) so will make a note to remember this. Lets hope next time that happens i got that 8 and stack some fools

Could you see how many tables he's playing?

I used to come across this fairly often at 10NL years ago where you'd get someone sitting at 15+ tables with super nitty stats and then they'd just go wild in weird spots.

imo just pick a better spot. Inevitably your gonna play for stacks later in the hand and you're not stoked doing that vs this guy.

The guy's actually 4/2? Snap fold.

I can understand how the 80/5 fish have fun playing poker, but how does a 4/2 fish even justify it?

And how can they justify playing 6max when their biggest expense would be reduced by half at a full ring table.

4/2 - never saw such a player) I do not think 50 hands is a representative sample either. I'd call once....
