Absolutely

The only position we flat is in the BB and occasionally the BTN.

Based on some of your previous threads. I would suggest playing 5nl or 10nl until you get your preflop game in order. Your mistakes will be a lot less costly as you learn.

You can get free charts from Snowie or ZenithPoker, and I would just play a tad bit tighter than they recommend.

Yeah I second that you should drop down until you learn some fundamentals, unless say you make 6 figures and can more than afford to lose at least $500 a month on a hobby

Thank you!

So I'm using the charts that are in the Grinders Manual. Do you think I should switch from those?

I appreciate the time. So I was playing at 10nl based off of this and over my hands I'm currently at 41.5 bb/100. I jumped up to 25nl after building up over $500 which is what the calculator changed to.

If you guys think I should stick to 10nl, then I will absolutely do that - you know way more than I do about this. My rule was to switch back down to 10nl once I drop back down below $500.

At the end of the day, spending $300 a month while learning wouldn't really be an issue but I'd start getting uncomfortable at around $500.

I'll drop down to 10nl for now. I appreciate your response.

I think Grinders Manual is pretty outdated now fwiw. Maybe there's more useful stuff than I remember but I felt like I had to unlearn a bunch of stuff after slogging through Clarke's convoluted writing style.

Get some solid preflop ranges and don't flat strong hands oop.

Does Grinder's manual tell you to cold call AK on SB vs BTN wtf??

Just looking back through it now. Jesus Christ this is worse than I remembered. There aren't any distinct 3betting ranges as far as I can see, just one ridiculously long and boring chapter about polar vs linear

I mean, look at this shite:

Or, y'know just follow the simple charts newguy suggested..

A rio or upswing course would save you a lot of money and even could make you money

The RIO course is just a condensed version of the book I'm already reading which everyone on here seems to say is a bad thing. I'm looking at upswing right now - I appreciate your time.
