Why did you choose a large size on the flop?

I thought a solver would split more than it does. It likes going small mostly. I think in the future I'll just use a small sizing here -

I'm just starting to implement these OB's in my game for SBvsBB

Flop seems like a spot where your hand wants to go big but your range wants to go small

1/2 or 1/3 sizing works form exploitative perspective as well. SB should defend close to mdf and xr like 15%+ and people folde much more and don't xr enough.

Ignition pool plays this spot as a x/f 45% +/- (*not texture specific)

Ignition pool plays this spot as a x/r 8% +/- (*not texture specific)

In general, I would stick to the 1/3 to 1/2 pot approach on this flop and take it from there. Bottom line is this....they are not going to come anywhere even remotely close to what a solver would do here.

Thanks for those numbers. Yeah I am going to stick to a 1/3 approach in the future.

How many hands was your DB to get those x/f and x/r stats?

bet with hand might be good at x frequency but you're probably overbluffing

i prefer strong draws to OB like T9 with a diamond which also block some Qx. assuming this is low frequency with 56?

J is a better card for villains range than ours, xb turn. JJ, QJ, AJ, KJ

Are you checking back OESD w/out backdoor flushdraw on the flop?

I prefer not that combo in my BB defend range. 98o is the lowest I would go. normal solvers would probably not overbet turn here, so no, I would not call it standard line.

Once I again I don't think you're using your solver correctly as this is a pretty straightforward ob spot.

I'd choose 1/3 to rep 7x better. We're following through with 56 on pretty much every turn so I'm happy to keep v's range wide on the flop.

1/3 is fine here. However, I don't think it's about trying to rep 7x, so much as it's about trying to find an "efficient sizing".

I think sizing in general has a lot to do with leveraging the inelasticity of villains range, and targeting a certain hands class for indifference. But that's easier said than done.

This particular straight draw doesn't mind a larger size in a vacuum. if you're gonna polarize on the flop then the turn is a definite overbet spot. The problem is that it's hard to disguise this line properly as most of your flop range prefers a more linear strategy.otf.
