We played the hand so passive. Our hand looks like AK/AQ/TT

If we call turn. We have to call a lot of rivers.

Our hand range looks so odd, we have few flush draws and we have rarely any overpairs. What does our flop check range look like?

In your case, you got KJ(non spades) Are you checking KsJs?

Then you got maybe JJ checks here?

If we're going to check hands like KcJc, we're checking TT? 99? Certainly we're betting 88.

Are we checking overpairs? Probably not.

A villain can profitably just triple barrel here with his entire call range vs your flop check range if you don't add in enough good hands. Which I think is fine, to be a bit exploitative given you only have 40 hands on the guy.

I haven't solved it yet but we should be checking this flop a lot given the SPR

I don't hate the check, I think it's fine.

The issue you're going to run into, you're not going to have enough good hands checking here vs a competent player @ this depth.

So you're going to have to get comfortable checking some overpairs and calling them down even on weird runouts. I probably pick my least vulnerable overpairs like AA and maybe some KK vs more aggressive opponents.

Also do you ever have a c/r range here? If so, what's that look like? I'm not sure we should have one.

I think there are SPR thresholds which change strategy a decent amount but haven't studied it enough to know where they are.

I think the reason it isn't a range cbet at 100BB's is because you want to cbet big at 4 SPRish on this board texture. So our bet frequency goes down.

But we would never cbet big in this spot so our frequency goes up. We are also changing our preflop ranges based on stack size so we 3bet a stronger range OOP.

Just one clear example is we never have AQo in our 3bet range at 200BB but we always do at 100BB.

Oh i mean if you have the 200bb pf ranges then please enlighten us! I never bothered with deep poker (ran some ranges but it gave me a **** headache haha, 100bb complex enough)

And yes the point you make about spr/sizing is valid

Yeah i am in the middle of re-doing all my sims so it is a major pain in the a.ss right now.

There's just a lot less aggressive actions OOP and more aggressive actions IP.

This is on every street so preflop/flop. We cbet smaller OOP and we 3bet stronger ranges OOP. Likewise we 3bet more IP and our cbet frequency goes up at deeper stacks IP - while OOP XR frequencies plummet.
