Just played this hand. I was wondering if my play is okay. Villain is an unknown.
Shoud I fold flop? What does his check on turn mean? Call river?

I think I like checking the flop to see if I can check raise. The raise on the flop could be a lot of things, but overpair larger than yours and top pair is definitely in that range. The check back on the turn could indicate a bluff, but a lot of times it indicates pot control.....or a monster. I don't mind a fold here, but like I said I am going for a check raise most of the time.

WP. I'd check the flop if multiway, or a tad more connected, but against 1 vil I think betting out is fine.

Usually just flatting 99 vs a 3bb raise from co, but the 3 bet should be fine. The board is dry and probably hits v a bit more.

Are we betting for value? This is a spot we're I'm a little bit unsure what's best. Should we be betting with all of value hands? Should we have a checking range?

Seems like v might be raising with a pp to deny some of our equity with overcards/seeing where we're at since the flop didn't really hit our range. We call the raise otf and then it seems like we narrow our range to pp's. Would we call this raise with 2 overs+bdfd?

The river bet is quite big. The thing that's interesting is that we checked otr, we probably would've bet with JJ+, we're definitely folding all of our missed overs+bdfd (if we called otf) and yet v bet's big. Getting a little bit suspicions here about v's actions here...
