Na, jamming is fun. lol Bet turn vs. this guy. Way too much junk / draws in their range that you'll miss value from if you don't. As played, not sure what you're doing on the river vs. a fish here. Looks like spew. If you're VBing, then you need to size based on his calling range, which you could probably get away with just under half pot.

Yeah.

On the flop, bet more. Aces are in your range and you want value with them. You also are giving good odds to draws. I don't see the purpose of betting like this. I'd bet close to 5. I know the trend nowadays is to bet like 1/4 the pot and I think that that's a dreadful idea. Gives the opponent's worse hands the odds to improve, gives your good hands poor value. Betsizings are board dependent.

I can only assume it's due to the misguided pseudo theory concept of "minimum defense frequency" which is completely inaccurate on any street except River.

If you want to value bet, turn is better. You might get called by combos like a pair of Jacks with a flush draw etc. whereas on the River, a KJ or something should not be calling an all in with this board. I would check this down on the river.

And I'm not sure why you say "I definitely want to VB river against this player." when you have 8 hands of info and they might just have had a good run of cards.

C-bet size is too small particularly with V’s short stack size. If you can get V to put a little more in on the flop he will be more committed on future streets with the lower part of his range.

The hand looks like a hand where you didn’t really have a plan and kind of played each street independently. Why check turn to shove river? You say you want to value bet this v, why? Why not bet turn then? Why does shoving river do that better than betting a lessor amount? What part of his range are you targeting that will call this river jam and doesn’t beat you? If the answer is KJ-JT why not jam turn to possibly keep some drawing hands in v’s calling range?

Think the question was a joke? But you can't always tell on the internet.

Which worse hands call or which better hands fold?
You dont have the nuts here and could lose to Ax which could play this way.
Why not bet smaller on the river for value say 1/2 pot. Then you keep V's calling range wide and are more likely to see a call from a worse hand IMHO. Here you are folding everything worse and only getting called by hands that beat you.
