Hi guys,

Not new here, Just a long time lurker.

A little about me,

I've been playing poker casually for the a long time now. I find myself going round and round in circles and not building a roll.
I'm wanting to take poker a little more seriously and was wondering how I go about doing this. Currently I'd say I am a breakeven at 20nl/25nl.

I have Hold em manager but the thing is I don't really know how to use it properly.
I guess you could say I just use it for the HUD and to import hands without looking in much detail. So if you guys have any advice on this would be much appreciated

I have access to runitonce but I feel just watching random videos isn't very good as it's not really a structured way to learn if that make sense.

So basically I'm looking to restart poker again, Wanting to start from the beginning and then having some kind of path to go from and then get into good habits to continue to learn and grow as a player.

What do you guys suggest in this situation?

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Better structure is definitely something that's helped me. I used to watch random videos, read up on lots of different bits of theory, and post random hands. I think getting a book you're happy with (Grinders Manual has been a life saver for me), and work on a couple aspects of your game at a time. Get to know Holdem Manager, and work through those spots over and over and over. I didn't know how to use PT4 properly either not long ago, but it's easy to get your head round and super useful.

my advice is to play a tonne of hands at a limit you are rolled for. ability to get volume is the advantage of being able to play online. zoom affords the most flexibility in all the formats. import all the hands into your hold em manager. figure out your leaks by yourself if you are able to, else get some help on this forum. you should be able to build a solid fundamental game from that. and get some confidence that you are beating your stakes in a statistically significant manner. then rinse repeat and rise up the stakes if that is your goal. along the way hopefully you meet some like minded people at a similar level and can contribute to the larger community!

good luck!
