Hand History driven straight to this forum with DriveHUD Poker HUD & Database

Played on Ignition. 29 hands he is a 43/18 so safe to say he is a rec player. The question is, as the hand played out, when he checks to me on the river, do you bet and put him all in, or do you check behind.

I’m probably checking that one back for a showdown. A loose passive opponent like this could easily have a weak K or even an 8 that caught up on the river. If he hadn’t caught some piece of the flop, he most likely would have just given up to your c-bet. If that assumption holds up, you’re hoping he had a 9 or flush draw that missed. Those hands most likely fold to a river shove. It’s possible you could fold out a weak K, but I think trying to push rec players off top pair at these stakes is a losing play. And a set or straight are definitely possible. I don’t think a thin value play here is profitable.

I would check back flop, then check back turn as played, then check back river as played. This runout isn't particularly good for us.

flop bet is debatable but id probably check
turn bet is just straight awful especially with that sizing

Check somewhere before the river. Not sure how river can be anything other than a check now.

We're behind here a lot (Kx 8x boats) there's very very little we can get value from and almost nothing better folds (weak Kings maybe).

We have SD value, so see a SD.

I like betting flop and turn much better when we have Qc I'd bet the flop but check the turn. If I checked turn I'd call river up to ~2/3pot.

Given he called such a large bet ott I think we're almost always beat otr.
