NL5: Questionable post flop play

No reads or anything other than the fact that villian is NOT multi tabling, just chilling out playing one table of NL5 on their personal computer, using the internet.

Upon my initial review, I can't imagine I made one correct decision post flop. Before I post what my thought process was I am interested what people think villian's range on turn and river is. Additionally as played, do you just fold this turn? Do you just call the river? Thanks!

Flop/turn std. Raise river in itself is not so obvious, we rep a flush so well and we can't possibly be bluffing if V is any good he's snap folding a set so something to considerer. The sizing is definitly bad vs anyone but a humongous whale, you're pretty much isolating yourself vs flushes by overbetting.

Yeah everything std about hand except last street. I think raising on the river is definitely best but this can’t in an over bet raise range. That said I disagree with the above poster that we rep a lot of flushes since on this board we should bet a large percent at small size imo and thus be betting most non-King or ace backstory flushes, and on the river we can then only have mostly king high flushes. Seems like a spot where we shouldn’t have an over bet raise strategy at all. Anyone have any thoughts on this.

Pretty naive to say turn is ‘std’. Got x/r after we potted it and now calling with an OESD, we fold a ridiculous amount of rivers and seems extremely borderline.
As played bet turn smaller and just call river. Jamming over the top is a huge punt

Our bet sizing on the turn is a little big but we're not capped at all so has to be fine, and peeling in pos with 4.5 to 1 at least 6 outs, 8 most of the time and 14 sometimes doesn't seem borderline at all, and we'll make better decisions than V on the river on average because position.

Just call river.
When villain check-raises turn, sometimes he slowplayed a set, or just made 2prs (JT), but sometimes it's something silly like Jxhh (pr+BDFD) or 54hh (combo draw).

Re: NL5: Questionable post flop play

Thanks all. So to summarize, flop/turn are relatively standard. River may be a call, and if I were to raise make it smaller so as to get value from a set or other potential hands I beat.

On the river I was going to just flat however the villian tricked me with their sizing. I thought they were weighted towards set or AJ/JT and thought it looked like a blocking bet which makes sense for those types of hands. Thought a flush would almost certainly have made a bigger bet, and I discounted at least a couple flush combos since maybe he would lead out with some on the turn? But now that I know the results his line makes 100% sense and imo should have just been an easy call otr.

Villian shipped the pot with J9HH for the flush.

Preflop: you shoud open X3.
Flop: Jxx..you have to c bet..60% pot
Turn: T ..second barrel..70% pot...if he raise now you can think about fold.
River: Just call after his raise.
