Turn check/call is fine. That turn is bad for your range. You block diamonds which you want him to have. you played it well.

In general when you have a nutted draw, you want to make the pot big

I think the hand is played fine

bet pot on flop so you can bet ott again and win a nice 90c pot.

c/c is good c/r is better

    bet ott > x/r > x/c >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> fold

Big part of winning is setting yourself to win and preparing to win.

how is a x/r good on the turn? Our range is much wider than his on the flop. We can have all high card hands and overpairs while he can't. His range smashes this, you aren't getting many folds on the turn at all so turn bet is absolutely lighting money on fire.

Big part of winning is knowing ranges and not betting just because you have equity to the pot

It's very hard to make a mistake here.

It's good to check the turn so that you can have a flush draw when the turn goes check-check and the river comes a flush (so you're not entirely predictable). And sometimes he will check back his pair of 88 and let you hit OTR for free.

Betting is also good because of fold equity.

There's not much to analyse with strong drawing hands unless the pot gets really big. Hard to make mistakes with these hands in small pots.
