I don’t feel comfortable having a flatting range vs. a 4bet OOP. I just sigh GII pre

isnt a proper cold 4betting range really strong Like QQ+ and AKs ? Assuming thats true your fold equity is probably pretty low. With that said i cant see folding and calling seems wrong as well. I think this is a spot where all 3 option are bad but shoving is the least bad because it at least guarantees you will realize your equity.

Sums it up nicely.

Plus the only thing stronger than a cold 4-bet, is a 5-bet shove over that cold 4-bet.

Shove pre.
AP whatever, hope for a chop or the rare AQs, but don't tell me you x/f river.

Thx guys. I feel like I'm losing my mind. I'm down 6 buyins over 33 instances of all-in with AK. That's -1800bb/100! They literally only have QQ+,AK when they call, otherwise they fold. And when they shove it's almost as strong a range with the occasional mid PP's or JTs mixed in. And I'm not running well vs those.

I was starting to wonder if I should just be folding AKo to preflop 4-bets, maybe flat if I have position. It's really disheartening, because I used to be so confident playing AK before. But now I'm full of doubt if I should even 3-bet AK and open myself up to the pain.

I check/called a 40% bet on the river. Villain had KK. Not sure why he didn't jam.

I think unless the CO is very aggressive PF, I'd likely fold AKs to the cold 4bet as this move is generally only premiums vs the UTG RFI & MP 3b.

Ya if there’s ever a time to dump AKs preflop, it’s facing a 3.5x cold 4 bet from someone whom you can reasonably expect has a nitty range.

don't call a 4bet that size

if you have reads, go with that to fold or jam imo

Eh, I don't know. Jamming without reads can't be terrible. At my stake I think most regs are pretty strong here, especially the sizing. Imo, 4bet bluffs are usually 20-25bb. Once you get into 26bb+ 4bets, you should be jamming or folding. calling 28bb to fold on a flop without an A/K is awful imo.

I sometimes fold these spots with AKo because I think my WR in my pool is solid and I don't need the variance of flips.
