So, if we don't a 9 basically? What range are we putting villain on? It seems a really odd line for all overpairs, unless he has AdAx, KdKx perhaps? 56s could feasibly take this line?

Ya and I'm not speculating on villain's range, I do know that our range is too weak to bet/fold when vil is risking 8 to win 11

If we take rake into account and the 3x open raise I can see folding is an option here pre unless villain is a fish and pays of set w toppair here often.

Don't bet the turn, x/c. As played, bet bigger if you must lead T.

No I don't and that's why I play without rake in game but anyway I think calling 99 is +ev despite the rake. Maybe someone can check with pokersnowie? I heard it has an idea on how to preflop. And if you think calling is -ev, you should consider raising.

Pokersnowie fold 99 vs 3x and call vs 2.5x open. 99 are bottom of the calling range

    vs. 3x
    call TT-JJ, AQs
    3bet QQ-AA, ATs-AJs, AKs, KQs-KJs, A3s-A5s, AQo+, 65s-54s

    call vs 2,5x
    99

    call vs 2x
    QJs

hmm ok with the rake it's safe to fold if you don't have an edge

thanks for the info it's quite helpful though I have a hard time believing 54s > 99, JTs-87s. JTs has solid blockers against JJ-TT which are certainly continuing pre.

I saw something about 54s in the pokersnowie thread. Apparently, according to pokersnowie, V is less likely to be holding any cards in his range that block 54s than JTs. Not sure how I feel about it but its an interesting concept.

Folding 77-99 CO v mp and co v UTG facing a 3x open at 25NL? I've not done this so far 2nl-10nl, but, guess I have to consider it moving forward.

FWIW, 190bb deep I'm never folding 99 here.

The smallest stack gives the effektive Stack size, not the deepest.
