NL10 anonymous table eff stack 100bb

Villain button lumps €0.10
Hero SB raise €0.45 9♥️8♠️
Villain calls

Flop 8♥️7♥️6♥️ €0.87

Hero bets €0.67
Villain calls €0.67

Turn J♦️ €2.17

Hero bets €1.25
Villain calls €1.25

River 3♠️ €4.60

Hero?

Do we check turn? And on the river we check since villains range is pretty capped by the river, the only one we beat is A♥️x and those type of hands?

I would bet turn. I believe we should be getting value from villain's draws.
On the turn, I would prefer to x/c and give villain a chance to bluff with worse.

Check flop. Hand is in less need of protection than other parts of your range and we are low down in our value range, so it makes sense to x/c this hand.

AP check turn, AP check river.

edit: lol missed it was a monotone board. maybe the same applies but not completely sure tbh.

Oops. That last part was supposed to say "On the river".

Definitely checking flop. Kinda hard to give advice on the rest of the hand after that.

I wouldn't consider this a "true" open-ended straight flush draw since our flush draw kinda sucks.

There are many lines that you can take which all of them is fine.

Your line is fine if you check the river. (also I think your line is better than people in the thread gives you credit for. Since villain limped on the button he is probably a weaker player. Therefore you should go wider for value as a default).

Other lines that work is by starting with checking flop.

I would either take your line or bet flop and go into x/c-mode on the turn.

I agree, but I feel like x/c-mode on turn would let the ace of heart get there for free or do we not think villain is likely to have only the A ♥️ or high ♥️ for that matter.
