Keep asking myself this question in the last couple of days after my bluffs were easily hero-called, as u can see in the two hands below. Am I missing anything?

Trouble with the first hand is that so many of the hands you represent might check back turn or river in position. 78 for the straight may check back river. A set would maybe check back turn. It's just one of those hands where villain is probably thinking 'Well, if he has a value hand shouldn't he be scared of *something* here?'.
Having said all of that it's still a pretty heroic call on the river.
Second one I'm not sure what you're representing here. Hard to put you on AK or KK as you'd have 4-bet both. KQs maybe? Again, you probably bet turn. It looks so so so much like a missed flushdraw particularly when it's checked to you.
First hand I think you were a little unlucky to run into a very good call from villain (loads of people will smugly say it's an easy call but I strongly disagree - it's a very good call for 10nl) but the second hand does look like a bluff I'm afraid. It's just really hard to put you on a value hand.
An 8x hand doesn't raise flop. A Kx hand doesn't shove the river. A set doesn't check back turn.
You have sooo many better hands in your range to raise flop with in hand 2
I have to agree with this post. You do not have to win every pot in poker. You have far too many hands with decent draw equity that could be bluffing here instead. Otherwise you are simply overbluffing. Also in hand 1 you might actually have the best hand since SB 3bet should be quite wide against BTN raise.
Hand 1, there's not enough hands in your range that you value bet all 3 streets.
Hand 2 is a similar thing, especially on the flop. Your flop raise is mostly going to be draws, so when you fire the next 2 streets w/ a K on board you're going to be called down a lot.
