-K9o open, BTN has super low BTN VPIP at 11. I don't think K9o is ever a terrible open from CO but would find folds if button would be stubborn.
-I am always testing out new things and multiway flops I generally proceed with caution. I figured a K or a heart might bail me out if I don't get both players to fold.
-I pick up gut shot straight outs OTT and I try to use the 33% flop bet and 125% turn bet that seems to be all the rage these days. Maybe I misapplying it.
-Hate the river card. Hard for us to continue the bluff in my opinion and since he didn't fold to turn bet, I wasn't optimistic he was going anywhere on the river.

Close fold pre. KTo+ from the CO is standard. I'd check flop multiway, but it can't be terrible to take a little stab. Don't understand overbetting turn. They won't fold Qx, nut flush draw, jack high draw (that picked up a straight draw). Some people will continue with king high draw. They shouldn't have much 3x. Really we aren't folding out much besides 8x. We can't even be sure we have the best hand if the flush gets there. Overbetting is just really weird.

Fair enough. I can certainly see the logic in this.

I feel its a small risk. Bet only needs to work 33% of the time, and we have potentially 12 outs OTF.

I think your underestimating what people will fold. I feel when we overbet people will lay down Qx and/or a nut flush draw with some frequency. Will all players fold these no? The overbet needs to work maybe 55% of the time and a King, Jack or Heart could still give us the best hand on the river

My play may be -EV but I like putting myself out of my comfort zone
