Villian was an 18/16 after 52 hands
Is this an ok combo to float flop and bluff river? Decided to float because of the good backdoors and villians cbetting too much in my experience
I think i like this hand as a c/r bluff here with 3 to a straight/Flush. Can make villain fold some A high hands and villain is probably cbetting way too much here. But you should be comfortable with turn and river play if you choose to c/r.
Also consider your river range, you're going to have way too many bluffs with a normal XC range let alone if you defend K8s here lol. Depends on villains strat what is best to bluff, I'd expect their calling range to be AK/QT-Q3, so stuff which blocks the most of that is best.
we're supposed to overfold flop because our range is much weaker
I would guess that a factor is also that BBvBTN you defend most of your Qx and Jx by flatting. Plus you have a lot of weak straight draws and better backdoors to play with.

Sure, we have enough better hands. I'm likely overdefending in these spots actually, it surprises me that we're supposed to fold slightly more than 50% against a 3/4psb.
