Hi,

I have 2 questions

1) Based on your feedback, i am trying to plug my leaks (specifically 3 bet more IP, steal blinds more, defend SB,BB more) . I am studying grinders manual.

While implementing /experimenting concepts do you recommend trying them out at current stakes or at a stake lower? sort of low risk yet actual play?
(eg. I am now in NL5, should i try these in NL2 or NL1)

2) when moving up from NL2 to NL5 i find that it is pretty much the same or worse as NL2. I find the same losing multitabling regulars there.
Can i take shots directly at NL10? I have 20 BI for NL10

I'd say the jump from NL5 to 10 is bigger than from 2 to 5 which is why I really wouldnt ever bother with NL2 in the first place. Not much bigger of a jump but still.

Not sure what you mean by concepts here but judging by those leaks it looks like you are kind of afraid to play postflop since you dont know what to do in many spots. Well guess what, the only way to improve there is to practice and think about every spot where you are confused. If you don't feel comfortable practicing these at higher stakes you should stay where you are. I'd say 3betting in general is very important in micros since the rake is so high and taking down pots preflop is your best way to combat it.

If you have 20 BI just take a shot at NL10 imo to see for yourself if the same regs are still playing there. Especially on sundays the field is just a bit softer on average so its a good time to take shots.

concepts - if i read something from 2+2 or a video about say stabbing uncontested pots, playing small PP etc I actually go and try it out like a lab experiment by playing for those concepts.

FWIW, I am not afraid to play postflop.
Actually I am learning in stages. Preflop open, iso, post flop cbet, playing draws, check raising etc, double barrelling etc.

3bet light, blind defense i left it for later and the time has come now.

Blind defense is a very tricky subject, I'd say you dont lose much EV by playing pretty tight from the blinds in micros

ya..right now goal is to master the ABC style.
I know once I hit NL10, there will be other stuff I will be facing and learn accordingly.

You're wasting time below NL10. If you have the money to deposit (i.e. 20BI min) just play there. Based on what you already know you could beat 10NL pretty easily.

Stars NL10 is tougher just because the site is full of nit/tag regs.

Beat a stake for a while. Move up. Repeat.

If your still learning fundamentals then no need to move up. You need to layer up your thought process with experience, no need to risk more money to do this by moving up. The leaks you are trying to plug are pretty fundamental spots so I would just focus on sorting them out than thinking about moving up.

Don't rush it, the money will come. You could move up to 10nl and get smacked by variance and not really have the bankroll/experience to deal with it. Very easy to lose confidence and not focus on the learning process. You might lose all those buyins and not even be playing too badly but you will question yourself as you still don't know all the common spots.
