I think checking tends to be better OOP with hands that don't need a ton of protection and don't have a ton of ways to improve. We are looking for two streets here and I think it starts with a flop check.

I'm never checking this flop against this player. Runout is terrible, easy river fold. I might x AA against a fully stacked reg, but, even so I'm probably range betting this flop close to 100% of the time.

Yeah maybe. I'm not sure if having "bet range" boards is good or not OOP. I think it's pretty easy for IP player to recognize board textures where we will cbet at a very high frequency and abuse us, especially because a large % of our range is giving up OTT. Maybe that doesn't matter in the BB vs CO dynamic where our range is already very narrow.
