Hi guys - I am struggling with these calling 3bets when i am not the pf raiser in micro. Want to get your take on this.

PF: I only called here instead of 4betting because figured I am on the button. Also, villain seems very passive and is 3betting an EP raiser.

Flop: I think villain may be betting with AA, KK, AK, and maybe JJ here. I called to peal one.

Turn: Normally, against a competent player, I think this would be a call factoring in jj, TT, and AcKc. However, here, I am assuming someone with a very tight pf raising range would not continue here with those combos. The bet sizing is also a strong bet. That leaves AA, KK, QQ, and maybe JJ in my mind. Really kind of doubt that I will see a TT here.

In general, I feel that I am a little too tight in my pf calling 3bet. I’ve just seen people turn over way too many garbage hands in 5NL. However, given villain’s stats, I think I am justified to lay down QQ here. Would love to get your take.

That's why you 4B pre, his 5B means very often AA KK, some AK sometimes (passive players often limp AK).

As played, fold is fine. If you can't find TT or AK in his range, he's got 12 combos beating us vs 6 we beat.

Flop, he's playing into two players, being sandwiched in between, so he likes his hand.

If you've seen fish losing a big hand prior to this, or he's tilted/frustrated, you should lean more towards calling to see AK, mid-PP or even draws.

4 betting pre. Not a great spot, but probably not folding here, still a lot of combos we beat

got it. re tilt: yeah, off topic, i've just started multi-tabling. It's kind of hard to pay attention to table action when i multi-table. Any tips on that?

got it. yeah, it's a real close one for me. would you call all the way down provided no over card comes?

Also, would you do the same if i had say JJ/TT instead of QQ?

Ahhh I just realised, is this FR, not 6 max?

And yep, I’m calling down... keep villains range as wide as possible by allowing him to keep any bluffs in, or missed draws he may turn into bluffs.

As for pre flop I’d need more info on villain to decide wether or not I’m 4 bettering TT OR JJ... TT starting to get a little bit loose to cold 4bet though imo

Play less tables until you can process all info more comfortably, then add one more each time. Its fine to play 2 or 3. About tilt, I'm tilted myself at a hand I played poorly last night too, recognising mistakes is the first step towards fixing it.

Take breaks when you get tired (every 2h or so).

I much prefer folding to flatting the 3bet - that is the mindset you need to get to. Its 4bet or fold

the 3bet is small so we know villain is a weaker player, and this is likely being done with a wide-ish range. 22bb pre.

calling turn

true. i actually didnt quite think about villain's raise size. i guess that makes me the newb

yeah, the more i think about it, the more i am starting to revert back to the fact that i think i am nearing the top of my range here and i should just be ready to go broke in this spot. what do you think? would you go broke in this spot facing an all-in bet otr? if so, would you actually just shove otf or would you call villain down to keep his range wide?
