Since you only have a small sample on V I would have to use better judgement and guess his calling range would be small pairs or a few suited connectors such as 98s+ (again rough estimate). When those stat number shoves, and I hold little equity against his estimated calling range, im folding. A tough lay down but an eaier lay down if youre confident in your opponents estimated range.

I would also have to see V do this before with strong hands.

For me that's a borderline nit and not a fish. If you filter your database after b/b/bc I'm pretty sure you'll see a pattern what that river raise means. * It's wp until the river call

Villain is playing pretty tight. Doubt he has 2's more likely to have pocket 7's or 8's in his range. I think he's too tight to call utg pre flop raise with something like A5s or 9Ts. As played you have to call the river. I might have checked the river and called a small bet but if he shoved after my check I would probably let it go. Almost never bluffing there. GL

Nit: A poker player who uses an extremely tight strategy, who plays very few hands, and who aims to only get involved in big pots with monster hands.

Fish:A common (derogatory) term for bad players. By the same token, good players are sometimes called sharks, because they prey on the fish.

Your post makes no sense to call them the same. Like being a nit isn't good but it's not the worst idea when you're just starting. It's just not something you see at a high level though.

A player who uses a too tight strategy is a bad player, which by your own definition is a fish. Fish come in all flavors, including nit.
