feel like spiking the king on the river made me struggle to lay this hand down.. i struggle in this spot ll the time should i of played it differently all the way though?

Flop/turn is standard

River raise is fine. Vs. 3-bet we're basically hoping villain is over-valueing something like 99, 77, A7, A9, K9, etc., as I don't think this is a pure bluff very often. Villain should have 16 combos of QJ though, at least 4 combos of 86, and at least 4 of J8, so calling seems kind of borderline

finding .5nl very weird used to be .25nl

since ive been back i struggling not paying villians of on the river even when i know my guts right and the math is right to fold its like my brain wants to call n ship the coins just to prove im right haha

Technically you should be betting this flop (small bet). That would also change the way things played out on the turn & river.

I agree that the river raise was good. The sizing seems small though. If you make it more like 25BB, then maybe you can fold to the 3bet.
