Ya I think fold is just bad and not shipping flop.

Op you don't have much stats on this player but your actually ahead of most his range on flop. Only thing that cooler you is JJ 88 is unlikely as he probably cold call in poition

If your calling a 3bet to obviously set nine and you actually hit your set and dont go all in on flop against his probable overpair or bluff then what's the point in calling pre?

yah, I am not folding here. At the very least, I am calling. We can't be afraid of monsters in the closet when we have a set on a board like this. Set over set is expensive, but very infrequent, and villain is just getting our stack in those cooler spots. We have a very profitable shove on turn, plenty that is behind us, and as above said, folding sets on non straight or flush boards 100bb deep is not an option, shoving prints.

Yeah against basically an unknown this is a bit silly. There are however plenty of regs at these stakes against whom it’s probably a great fold. A standard weak-tight micros reg shouldn’t have worse value with this line and in my experience will usually play draws passively especially in multi-way pots. 33 isn’t that different from AA in this spot and I doubt many people would be saying it’s ridiculous to fold that
