flop and turn seems standerd but I was still a bit scared of his sets or three of a kind because he could call those this deep. Or would he raise those hands otf/ ott??? That is why I decided to check the river to call his bet was this a mistake?

I’m not an expert on deep stack play, so take this with a grain of salt (and if I’m wrong, let me know)

This board does not favor either range that much. And since you are so deep, I would check range on this flop. If you were 100bb deep, I would think leading would be good. But the deeper you are, the more power position has and leading doesn’t negate that.

AP I prefer a x or a small block bet OTR.

I would check River. Not out of fear of a set, but I don’t see what your hand could get value from. I Don’t see a V running 23/23 in a 3 bet pot calling with an under pair. A check could induce a bluff with a busted fd though.

I agree with a lot of what you said. But, are we putting a lot of stock in stats from less than 200 hands? I genuinely don’t know what the cutoff for reasonable stats is.

I agree it’s not the largest of samples sizes, but it’s enough to convince me he’s not just clicking buttons. Unless I saw him do something peculiar, I’m confident calling him at least somewhat competent.
