I just don't have the dedication to put as much time as I'd like to, but everything I've ever been good at was a result of exactly that. I basically become obsessed and all my time is spent either doing that thing or thinking about it. Literally every waking moment.

I'm really trying to get into it though. Hopefully I can find the motivation/discipline to put the work on, but we all know you don't just "find the discipline".

Guess I'll just stay **** for now.

Edit: I think once lockdown ends and live poker is a thing again, I'll be al ittle more motivated to study. It's hard to get really into something when nobody you know IRL is into it too. All my IRL friends are only interested in casual home games. And playing 1 table of 5nl zoom is just... not that fun TBH. I enjoy thinking about poker more than one tabling 5nlz
Why do you play 1 table only?

Trying to focus on quality over quantity. I feel like I already auto pilot too much, and playing 2 tables will just increase that. I really wanna work on my thought process, not just raw volume.

I feel so rushed playing more than 1 table, I have PTSD from multiple tables blasting that stupid stars high pitched "BEEP BEEP BEEP" right in my ears

I find when I play 2+ tables, if I get into a 'spot' on one table, I often end up timing out on the other.

You can turn the sound off in the settings. It will improve your winrate by 1 bb/100.

Yeah I lowered the **** out of it, may just turn it off completely. Seriously it's the most tilting sound ever

I single table Zone. But we have 15 secs with no time bank. I find my focus much better here.

Actually I found an option to 'enable beta sounds' in the pokerstars client. The 'attention' sound is much less obnoxious, but the fake chip shuffling sound is about 4x more obnoxious. Not sure if its a net positive

I don't mind the beep, except for when you're utg and it starts yelling at you before your cards even load
