I am playing NL Holden and a bit of PLO now for a year. I had my sucesses and big wins in MTTs, but want to play 6-max cash. I have some experience in that as well. I am now somewhat winning in the 1/2c games with a 140$ BR. I am not using any software or hand tracker as for now.
I want to work on my game now more precisely, what are the next most efficient steps now to improve my game? I can not afford some couple of hundred dollars for software or training courses like RYE.
Would be glad for some experiences and advise.

I can't imagine learning without poker tracking software (Holdem Manager or Poker Tracker), because I have no idea how to analyse hands (and my stats in general) without that. Also lets you see opponent's tendencies in such detail you can't imagine (if you've never used tracking software before).

Both HM and PT come with a 30 day trial and are both $60 for small stakes (up to $50NL cash). In my opinion, not purchasing one of that programs is a waste of money as they pay for themselves pretty quickly.

^^ I'd 100% agree with that. Hand tracking will give you a baseline to review aggregate statistics and also dive into specific spots and understand the mistakes you're making.

If money is tight, look into Red Chip Poker's CORE program. It's $5/week and you can pause anytime. What I'd suggest is putting a week or two aside and do a lot of focused study on the fundamentals -- study 70% play 30% of your time. Then flip those numbers and return to playing a while and look at how your stats bear out.

For my part, I can't say enough about the value of coaching. In the past year I've worked with technical coaches for both LHE and NLHE and am comfortably beating those stakes at the micros.

But start with hand tracking. You can't fix your game if you have no way to quantify or understand where you're going wrong.

Also, I would stick to only 1 type of game (wouldn't mix PLO and NLHE).

If you are absolutely serious about improving your game then tracking software is a must. I know you said you didn't want to get it and were looking for other options, but honestly, it is that important. As someone else said it is $60 for the small stakes version so even if you can't afford it without dipping into your poker bankroll it will pay for itself and you will recover that cost fairly quickly if you use it efficiently.
