nh pokey; I've actually seen lines similar to these from donks a few times and actually ends up being a weak hand more than a strong hand most of the time. there is no way you would be folding this, evaaaaa

tl;dr

Did anyone even suggest in this whole thread to check the turn? I only read the first page... but we are very deeped stacked with only a marginal hand and I would not want to get committed to this pot.

I realize that the turn puts some draws on the board, but the flop was really good for us. It also allows our aggressive opponent to attempt a bluff on the river.

Comments on this would be appreciated... please explain why this hasn't been mentioned?

Thanks,

i would bet my left nut he has 77.

he was planning on calling you down all the way, because he doesn't know what you have but thinks it might be AK, and you're trying to push him out. by calling twice he's hoping you'd check the river.

then the set hit on the river and got a little over excited.

***EDIT: how the hell didn't i see the results! i owe someone a nut

Note: I have not read anything but the first post and will re-read the topic afterwards and edit this post accordindly. I want to give my opinion first.

Villan donking out on the river here is almost a cry for value and I can't see even a fish doing this with say qq. There are definately some 2 pair combos or a rivered set out there too. You can't even justify a call by saying "oh he must have missed his draw and is stabbing" because most of his "drawing" hands are still 2 pair after that river.

Furthermore, I remember reading/hearing somewhere that if faced with a tough decision folding is probably the best decision as it's neutralEV, and I think that can most certainly be applied here.

I'd fold.

edit: bah
