Pre is too loose, just fold this without reads on the blinds. You should also open 2bb if you do know blinds are not defending enough. I prefer flatting his flop donk cuz of implied odds and triple barrel bluffing fishy players isn't gonna be profitable long term.

Pre is fine. But I think I like flattng otf and using position. Just don't think I wanna play a big pot here. As played I like the bet ott and the shove otr to fold out his combo draws is excellent.

Pre is absolutely fine. Even against an unknown you can open a good deal wider. I'm just flatting the flop lead though. Villain almost definitely has a semi decent hand such as A7 or 88s and maybe you can fold out some of the better hands in their range with a raise but I think you'r mostly getting called. K ott is probably a good hand to barrel as it's an overcard to villain's calling range otf.

There's no indication in op's post that the players in the blinds are decent. We can only post a reply on the basis of the information provided. As it's 5NL the overwhelming likelihood is that the players in the blinds are not good. Decent player is a subjective term. The better players at 5nl are still pretty weak.
Obviously if villain is particularly aggro or skilled we can fold but with no info on the players in the blinds this is a fine hand to steal. What's the worst hand you open otb?

As a default this is to loose for me Vs unknowns i think it's quite an easy fold pre.

I would 2x pre if you’re going to open this wide

Shoving river this deep vs a random would be terrible. Villain also has very few combo draws

Is this too tight for 5nl?

Anything between 43% and 48% or there abouts is completely fine as a default. Even a little tighter for beginners is ok in my opinion on the btn.

its relative to op's skill, no reason to think op is much better than the competition.
