Do I raise the turn to try and get money from any drawing hands while I still can or should I be willing to call here and hope that everyone comes along and someone hits the river?

Well don't check when closing the action in a multi-way pot on a wet board would be a good start.

+1 mirrion

So many hands are calling I flop bet there! Checking to close the action is borderline criminal multi-way!

Ok, so I should perhaps have bet $1.50 on the flop here to get value from people with diamonds or inside straight draws?

Whenever I flop quads or full houses I usually give free cards in the hope that the villain(s) will catch more of the board since I have such a strangle hold on it.

How much is a good bet for that flop? Is it around $1.50?

I don't really spend a lot of time thinking about how to play quads and boats since you can't really go too wrong. Usually it's just about coolering someone. I tend not to slowplay. However, this might work better for me since I'm such an aggrodonk. Some times a well timed slowplay might get someone to go nuts. Once I had top set and decided to check through a hand on a dry board. This caused my villain to go nuts and get in his stack with a pocket pair that was below the top set.

Another time, I flopped quads, but I had the opponent on tilt and he called me down with second pair, no kicker. I think he had like a 10-2 with no draw.

My rule of thumb is to just hammer, hammer, hammer. This is maddingly tilt inducing and when the conditions are right, you're going to get paid off by a steamer. People are trying to see flops cheaply and draw big. When you raise to iso, they find themselves throwing away hand after hand after hand. Eventually they are just going to blow up with second pair.

Another trick is to get into lots of pots with aggro players. Of course, you aren't going to need quads to make this successful.

This is probably more read dependent than anything. I hardly ever win big with quads by coolering a flush or a boat. The rare times I do get paid, it's usually by some aggrodonk or some steamer.

Don't worry too much about it, though. No poker player ever became known for his ability to play quads.

Bet.

If somebody has something, they'll call. I think $2 is fine.

$1.5 is fine for a flop bet.

Brussel, think is. more cards are just as liekly to kill action as create it. What if comes and the guy with K-rag doesn't feel like playing anymore? OK, so that's just a hypothetical, but [x] the flush draws will call anyway so don't wait until they spike to get money in the pot, [x] without a K or a FD each player is only drawing to 2-3 cards to improve, probably no more than 7 or 8 cards between the lot of them, so its pretty thin that they will improve anyway iof they have nothing now, [x] and people get crazy in bigger pots, you need money in there now and it makes it much more likely you will win a stack by the end rather than a few bbs.

imo
