Fold pre

As usual, the entertainment value in DDP threads is his arguing with everyone who disagrees.

Do you just expect everyone to agree always?

you don't have to 3barrel with bad hands and you can win at sd

op should bluff QT, TT, ..

One important thing missing from OP’s end for this discussion to be meaningful is how frequently he bluffs his 66/low pp on the river.

i dont know whether there is any merit to the play from a theoretical point of view, but i hate it simply because its so tone deaf to the environment we are playing in ~(10nl)

tennis themed analogy - we are playing a guy who is old/slow/fat, he has great shots when in position but obviously cant move. rather than hitting into space & making him hit off balance we instead start trading rallies and going for high risk winners from improbable angles..

poor game management. i know not everyone plays sport but this is something to fit high up into your list of priorities.
i once lost badly to a player i should have easily beaten, turning point for me was at the end of the game the coach told me i should have shook my own hand for the victory, rather than my opponents.
the 66 hand makes me feel like the above situation, going for broke when there are easier options available to us.

ok i havnt read it and havnt heard wether its any good or not, but writing that jogged my memory:

The course by Ed Miller

"There’s a saying in the golf world that you don’t worry about the other players. You just play the course. It doesn’t matter if you’re playing in a big tournament against a hundred other players or against just one. It doesn’t matter if you’re playing against Tiger Woods or against Woody the Woodpecker. You can’t control what they do, so they can only be a distraction.

All that matters is the course. And the only thing you can control is how you play it.

This is a powerful idea, and it applies just as well in poker. Poker is full of distractions, and most players get hung up worrying about all the wrong things. The things they can’t control. The things that ultimately don’t matter."

T9 JT 54s random hearts

if we reach the river with 66 tripling seems fine but turn bet feels like it's low frequency at best

edit: actually you said above TT isn't a turn cbet but it's a much stronger hand to double (and maybe triple) than this combo. we do NOT have SDV on the turn with TT against anyone with a pulse

What a horrible quote. We’re not playing solitaire here, we’re playing an intimate game of back and forth combat. Your opponent absolutely matters, u must act and react, jab and dodge.

I'm folding this hand pre. Your bluffs could be 1010, J10, Q10 and maybe KJ (the last three suited of course).

think the take home message however is if your opponent has glaring and obvious flaws, dont go after him with pocket sixes..
