I don't think it's 100% at optimal, mby 50/50

thing is this is one of his gin cards otr and he's incetivized to bluff a ton because you can't meet mdf, with a lot of whiffs, weak pairs that don't do good at sd, 5x and even stuff like QT
and you have to fold a lot because he has a lot more strong 2p and better and you don't, so you just defend your 2p with an A and call it a day
even if he cbets range and ends up with more whiffs than optimal otr and he bets all of those, it's still not a super +ev call down
what I'm trying to say is vs unknowns it's going to potentially be a slightly winning call or a seriously bad one and the average of the 2 is not 0

if you know the guy and he's overly aggressive, the bet like a monkey to punish capped ranges kind of guy, ye close your eyes and call

right now you're thinking he could just always 3 barrel and exploit the **** out of me, but the reality is a) he's not always doing it and b) even if he over bluffs a bit, he's not really super exploiting you for folding tp here because of how good the situation is for him and the fact that you will need to over fold anyway in these spots where he has a massive advantage in the top of the ranges

yeah i get your point about unknowns and my default is to just overfold until villains are proven to be good enough to warrant calling down even some of the time

i played a hand against him a while before this one where I just folded to the turn overbet on a similiar board bb vs mp with A6s, this was too strong to fold ott with the slightly wider ranges and then otr yeah i actually rolled a 50-50 between call and fold, dont think its amazing either

oh wait I thought he jammed
he wants to be doing a lot of that instead and mby use this size for exactly stuff that's a bit too weak to jam like AJ and then some weaker bluffs
ye vs this guy I'd say ok call down as a default with AT and QJ vs this river size and I'd jam straights and KJ

Granted he probably has a wide range from the button however I fold (as you are so often dominated) or 3-bet this pre. If it’s sooted I mix up a call or 3-bet.
