And if the river blanks. We call the all in?

hero beats 1 value hand. hero calls blank river sometimes, folds others.

Am I missing something? Vil has every 2pair combo here, 9 set combos, FDs, SD, combo draws.

I’m raising vs that range plus T8 here. Looking at stats it’s pretty fair to assume vil is aggo and can assume you’d barrel often

these are all assumptions, and reason for calling a shove on a blank river sometimes or mostly. i figure the other sets besides 77 raise flop....this villain's stats on 43 hands are pretty bare bones imo.

Agree, sample size doesn’t say much, but that only makes me less likely to call a shove because without a read I think population balance bluff shoves.

No reason to let them catch up when the pop calls draws soo often

By default, I'm raising and stacking off. I would not raise with weaker sets though.

I call the reraise on the turn, and call the mandatory river shove all rivers. You got it? Take my money. Oh? You often are full of air? Nom nom nom.

I was wondering about this as well. Top set is in a separate category then other sets because i cooler everything. If we call how often does the river go x/x when a scare card comes and I lose a ton of value?

It’s just a raise not a re raise but you really think this guy has air here? What about a T river or 7 river. We aren’t going to be good very often against a river shove I don’t think.

7s river gives you the third or fourth nuts, so don't fold to a jam on that card.

A lot of other rivers (tens and eights and random spades) are hard to navigate correctly though. I don't really want to be using top set as a bluff-catcher.

ye raising might be better actually, villain's semi bluffs have a lot of equity and we're getting stacked on blanks

Haha whoops yeah can’t fold on a 7 lol. Yeah I’m thinking shove. It gets a little dicey with lower sets but 99 is a shove too I think.

It is a good problem to have. 2nd nuts and getting your stack in play as best as you can.

If we are not winning on blank rivers or flush rivers, then we are not wanting our stack in the middle yet, and we are drawing for a full house.

Calling the raise lets us fold without a full house. I just think that the money is going in anyway on all rivers, and top set will be a MDF call on all rivers.

If river is a blank, and vil checks, then we get to put the rest in vs an underset or 2 pair.

Somehow, one player will bet river and get called by the other. I just think calling keeps vil full range betting.
