Getting back into the game and before I start posting hands again or join a coaching site, I want to go a bit lo-fi and study a book again. What's the best book that covers the basics for small stakes cash games?

I've seen The Grinder's Manual pimped out around here the past month or two. I've never read a page of it but some good posters have recommended it.

Grinder's Manual. I'm a micro player, gotten so much out of it. Problem is that there is so much info its hard to all integrate. I'd recommend going through it slowly chapter by chapter.

Can't recommend The Grinder's Manual enough.

"The Mental Game of Poker" and just play solid

Also "Easy Game" by Andrew Seidman is somewhat good if I'm remember correctly.

That book is outdated as ****. It also doesn't cover "the basics". It is short though and out there for free....but count me as a sucker that ponied up (some of) $1k for it when it came out in like 09/10.

The basics is still basics.

The reasons for betting is still reasons for betting.

And that is most important I think.

And I believe that the price is $74.8 for Kindle Edition and $68.4 for Paperback and a lot of it used for lower price.

I think it's quite obvious I was talking about an easy to find pdf that you don't even have to d/l to read.

Yeah, the reasons for betting is useful but that should be in every other book that covers the basics which makes this book obsolete. Everything beyond that and what hands to open otb and why is too advanced for basics.
