Was this a bad play with T9s? Was this a bad play with T9s?

Hi guys, again, no HUD; no read, my ZOOM hour of the day, with the question of the day:
Was this a really bad play?

to explain myself: i called the 3 bet because the BTN rarely traps in that situation and is also priced in, so we can play for a big pot with a very good 3 way hand. and with this flop i feel committed. right? or not?

akward raise on the flop.

If you were on the BU, then I like this call. But in this situation its a fold pre.
Afer such a big cb on the flop you dont have any fold equity - so its either ship or fold.

As long as he doesn't fold, whatever he does is fine.

I do agree with pre being a fold though. Not a fan of playing T9s in a pot with an spr of 2-3 against a tight range.

IMO is ship>fold>call

IMO:
1 - this one of the best flops we could hit
2 - if we call bet F and hit T, its possible that vilain will fold part of his range
3 - maybe (I rather don't belive it) if we ship he will fold KQ, AQ

1. That's not a reason for this being a ship or fold flop.
2. You say we have no fold equity so and we're going to have < a psb left behind ott.
3. see #2.

I'm more interested in why you believe folding is > calling. Here's why:

Assuming he shoves 100% ott

vs. QQ+,99-88 +$0.25
vs. QQ+,99-88,AhKh,AcKc +$1.07
vs. QQ+,99-88,JTs,AhKh,AcKc +$0.69

These are extreme examples. These are all slight losers to rake. In reality, we're going to make much more because 1) his range isn't that tight, 2) button will overcall or shove which gives us more dead money with a significant amount of equity and 3) he's not shoving 100% of turns.

To be very clear, I'm not arguing that calling's better than shoving, I'm saying that thinking this is a fold or shove spot is wrong.

Pre you can fold a lot of your range. Calling and letting BTN in is backwards imho. I would rather not play in an inflated pot being in the middle only 100BB effective.

Post I think is just a call.

Raising and calling are close. They both have their pros and cons.

Folding is just absurd.

Thanks for your appreciation.

Would this change if we sat at the button?

and because of that i feel committed. or shouldn't i feel that way? really hard to find a reason to fold when you hit like that.

Would you pay that much to see the turn and fold to another bet? Don't you wanna see both streets?

Can you explain to me what the verdicts of a call are?

I'm seeing a river after calling flop as I'm fairly certain we would have enough equity to call a decent size bet.
