Both V’s unknown.

Plan was to jam a diamond, T or A river. Line / sizings ok here? Think I could have gone bigger on the turn.

I think turn bet should probably be smaller.

Not only do I think the turn bet is too big, I think the flop bet is too big, too. We've got all the overpairs in our range, and TT, but do we have 55 or 33? No, but both villains have them in theirs. The board is fairly dry, except for flush draws, or gutshots for A4s or A2s. We should be sizing down multiway anyway. I would bet about 1/3 pot. Three ways, it isn't even a downbet.

On the turn, the K is good for our range, but in fact we have a marginal made hand at this point. We should bet to keep the villain from floating us, but we shouldn't go overboard; something like half a pot or maybe just a bit more, maybe 12 or 13bb ($0.25).

And we should certainly bet this river, because the ace on the board blocks most of the villain's flushes, leaving only hands like QcJc or 9c8c. If we check, they get to play their hand perfectly. If we had bet smaller on the turn, we would have room to bet something like 1/3 to 1/2 pot and still have room to fold if we got raised (and this sort of spot is vastly underbluffed at these stakes).

What are we hoping to get called by with our river shove? We are blocking two-pair hands pretty hard, and a hand like KT (which we block) is likely to have raised the turn. K3? K5? Flat-calling in the cutoff? A worse T will likely fold to anything but the smallest of bets. What KX calls the flop? What AX does, except A-wheel?

Bet half a pot on the river, and arrange that the pot on the river is small enough that you can fold if your half-pot river bet gets raised.

Are you saying we open fold 55 and 33 from MP? Sounds extremely nitty to me...

Turn is too big and folding out way too much of his range that we're ahead of. Same can be said for river

Thanks all for the responses.

Some difference in opinions but I think I am on board re a smaller turn sizing given the SDV we have ott.

Can I just check though, if I had A2dd, A3dd, A4dd for example, that these would be better candidates for larger bets ott, e.g. PSB/OB?

On this point, I would always open 55 from MP so I can definitely have that in this spot. I don’t have 33 as an open though until CO.

fish doesn't care how big you bet ott when he has AQ/AJ, not folding enough pairs either
river wp, guy just made a good amount of top pairs, KQ he still likes

Thanks. Before I posted this hand I thought my line was higher variance as I’ll run into better hands sometimes but maximising returns when V has worse and gets sticky calling down with pairs.

I like this hand. Unlucky if opponent has better.

Folding any pair in MP is just lol.
