Am i affecting my winrate if i play across 2 sites consistently? Am i affecting my winrate if i play across 2 sites consistently?

I just have a general question if most of you play only 1 site - and learn that site's population tendencies, maximize their rakeback program, etc. I currently play about 60-40 Pokerstars-Party, but I'm beginning to wonder if i'm hurting my winrate by doing this. Little things i'm noticing is that 1/3 cbets in position dont get as much folds on Pokerstars, as opposed to Party, seems like Pokerstars has regs willing to call down much lighter, etc.

I guess what i'm asking is if anyone plays across 2 sites, or does everyone basically just focus on one? Any comments appreciated.

oh, and for the month i'm on 11 buyin downswing on 5NL - when would you drop down? 20?

Play on the site that has a better combination of deals/rake and overall softness.

dropping down depends on what your BR is and what kind of sample/winrate you have. Also hard to say exact numbers but maybe ff you are an established winner at nl5 (2bb/100 pre rakeback over 50k hands) you may as well keep playing until you no longer have 20 BI. If you are not a well established winner then you should definitely drop down, review your mistakes/big pots and try 5nl again some time in the future.

Is 2BB/100 considered good? i always thought it had to be 5bb or more. I play zoom/fast, and i am beating 5NL for more than 2BB over 50k hands. Well maybe it's down to 2bb now since the downswing, need to check.

But my question is more of a....how do u say, like how long would you take losing until u drop down, if bankroll wasn't an issue. Would you wait until you were a losing player at the stakes ur at?

The only real reason to multi site is to capitalize on different rewards and be able to maximize liquidity at the games which is really only applicable to mid stake + and niche game type players (HU). You won't hAve any troube finding fish and games to play in for what you are currently doing.

I employed a 50 BI bankroll and usually dropped down when I lost 10 BIs at the new stake. I did ride it out longer once (I think it was at 10NL) because even though I was losing I felt like I had an edge and I could turn it around. That would be my advice. Do you honestly think you're better than the average player? If the answer is yes then ride it out a little longer but if it doesn't turn around then you have to be willing to move down soon so that you don't blow through your whole roll.

I play about 90% on one site and really only use 1 or 2 other sites for some varieties in tournaments when I get the inkling to play them.

50k Hands of zoom isn't a good sample size I wouldn't say, and from personal experience I would take a day or 2 break at least after an 11 buy in swing, go through your hand history and figure out how much of the "swing" was bad beats/flips and how much was mistakes (be tough on yourself) and then decide to drop down or not.

Of course assume you still have a decent bankroll for 5NL, for zoom I'd say 50 BI's+.

if bankroll isnt an issue then never drop down, the point of nl5 is to learn. As long as you are winning or breakeven you get to learn for free.

Thanks guys for the comments - I’m going to just ride it out. But I am going to get the money off party and just play stars. At least no bots (allegedly).
