I would x otf a lot if you bet bet smaller this is very bad flop for your range. Turn bet is thin as well.
What hands do you think he is calling you otr? Do you have more then 50% of equity vs that range?

I don't think he was trapping you, he was drawing.
You charged him to draw and he paid to draw, fair enough.
On the flop he had an 8 out straight draw and 2 overs.
On the turn he added a flush draw. Huge. Obviously he can't fold.
It wouldn't have been unreasonable of him to raise the turn.
Unfortunately for you, he hit his hand on the river - and the river gave you a good, second best hand.
That's just the way it goes sometimes.

Veeeeery aggressive.

I think we need to check or go smaller somewhere. River is one of those spots where you have top two in a 3-bet pot and auto-shove when actually you're not targeting a whole lot.
