AKo BTN v CO, 238BB eff. line check

Pre: I usually go 3x, but since we are a little deeper, I added a BB. Can we get away with more? How much? Have a note on V he called 2b MP v UTG then a BB Squeeze with J9s so he's pretty splashy.

Flop: With an SPR of > 10 otf, this felt like a x back. Sounds weird, but, I was winding down my sesh just now and didn't want to play a humongous pot against this V and seemed okay.

Turn: I can maybe have some flushes that can x back flop this deep so I think calling AK and raising AA,KK is good + flushes, or maybe just flushes. Thoughts on that?

River, eh...not much else to do. Way too much SDV to be turning top 2 into a bluff after V seems to have given up or is planning on xc with something like 8h9h.

Thoughts?

Of course you can also 3-bet bigger but do you want that? Any premium hand will be +EV postflop against his weaker calling-range, so you may not even want to 3-bet too big. I would bet the flop, I dont think he will put in much money behind on later streets, you're just allowing him to realize equity.

You should leave and close tables before you enter a pot like this if you're a) not prepared to bluff deep if required or b) make mandatory bets.

Hand is butchered. Bet flop turn is a fine to chjeck but vs pool I'd just bet.

3bets IP should stay the same sizing regardless of stack depth. OOP they should be smaller.

Range bet flop.

Bet 1/3 pot with your whole range. You're missing out giant value especially with AK on that board.

I recall you mentioning hands where effective SPR > 10 we should be doing a lot of checking. Is that OOP?

yeah it's true. I still need to study deep stack poker more but this board would not be one of them since there's probably single digit hand combos that beat you.

It's higher EV to just bet range because all your no pair no draw will benefit the most. Checking this combo might be close but we can't start splitting our range OTF like that or we lose EV with our air.

Re: AKo BTN v CO, 238BB eff. line check

By range bet, does that include KK/QQ?

1. So we range bet flop ~7.5 BB, V calls. Turn Kh, V x's and we bet again?

2. Or alternatively, we range bet flop ~7.5BB, V raises to 26.5BB, we call.

2.a. Kh ott V bets, we have to just call.

2.b. Kh ott V x's and we x back or bet?

The above were the scenarios that actually played out in my head otf in the 2 seconds before I checked.

yes range bet is everything.

Yes I'm not worried about flushes because the A and K block villains most likely flushes. No I'm raising turn if V donks into me.

Bet turn for sure - don't let him realize equity with his XX pocket pairs.
