It would seem you x/r the flop to deny the button's ability to realize their equity more than to bet money in cause you win. Is this a balance for your 22,66 hands as you want 2 bluffs for every 1 value bet on the flop?

Since this is a flop I think I am going to x frequently MW, essentially yes, the xr, bet turn is for equity denial to hands like T9s,98s,Axs V decided not to 3b pre. Hands like JT,J9,AJ,KJ also aren't gonna be thrilled calling down now either which is why I decided to continue with my adventure ott.

Was going back and forth with that aspect. It is like a 2-3% difference in equity when called, correct?

It's simple don't bluff with second pair on flop. Ever.

And whats up with sizing on turn. You need to bet 2/3 to have pot size left on river or overbet on intending to give up rivers. Anyway I don't like it.

I don't usually, and agreed wrt sizing I f'ed it up. I don't normally xr dry flops at all, really.

Yes, ofc. I presume hands like 54s, A2s are better for such a line as a bluff?

I’d x/c, don’t see the point of x/raising this combo.

I just realized that maybe what i’m Doing is bad but shouldn’t we be cbetting this board a lot for a small sizing? I mean it is as dry as it can get.
And the x range would be something like : JJ, JTs and JTo and 6x and crap that has not barrel potential ?

And in my mind I would never x/r this board. But once again, maybe it’s bad.

Why aren’t we just cbetting range here OTF? I want my opponent to fold his T9s/98s type hands and if he folds KQ that’s a big win. I feel like a x/c line is going to make future streets very difficult since there are pretty much no good turn cards.

Ironically I prefer XR to XC just to deny equity + he never has a super strong hand here. Playing QQ-AA like this is good too at some frequency.

Cause shorty in the BB is why I xd flop. I usually try to get to SD as cheaply as possible multi way with middle pair type hands. When BTN got the BB to fold, I chose a different line since I block the strongest hand V can have otf.

I think I wouldn’t check flop precisely because of the BB. BB has a wide range that is unlikely to hit this board but playing the x/c game against 2 opponents is going to cause us headaches OTT and river since we aren’t defining ranges and we are against 4 cards instead of 2.

If the SB called instead of the BB I think checking makes more sense. But against the two weakest calling positions (BU and BB) just bet and clear them out.

Flop is probably not the best

Is range betting best, MW, as Doo suggests or xc? So far, the pop has a tendency to attack smaller cbets, the Russian LAG's in particular. They can also float this spot fairly wide, or is this not necessarily a bad thing?

I didn't read through the thread, but definitely don't range bet.

I have a really low c-betting freq in these spots but I kind of like c-betting small with some vulnerable hands (88 and 77 might benefit from betting small too), in the hope it folds out BTN, and possibly BB as well. Check-calling would be my second choice, and even then it's only a call vs a small bet. I don't want to play a big pot OOP with this hand, so check-raising is out of the question for me.

Thank you gentlemen. Agreed, I like a small cbet or xc better.

V ended up having QJs so I got wrecked. I would have thought QJs was a standard 3b. V I guess didn't want to play a big pot and was letting the BB in.

I was gonna say I'm not too happy about that turn card because QJs is in a lot of people's ranges, including mine. Not everyone 3-bets it in BTNvCO.

That's definitely something I'll keep in mind in the future.
