these sorts of spots seem to come up with some frequency out of position after missing in reraised pots with AK / AQ

I figure that villain is playing very wide, even against 4-bets, considering his stats. I choose to continue the story, I feel like this is the line I would take with aces or kings in a 4-bet pot out of position. Sizing ok? I didn't think long about commitment, and figured it was best to get it in on 3rd street if I was ahead in a pot of this magnitude.

vs tards like this sometimes I exploitatively make it huge pf like 1.95 then jam every flop with a pot sized bet behind ( pot ~ $4.50 V has ~ $4 left )

Your line is OK vs a guy like this, it's not spew

I don't understand why this line is good.

With the flop raise villain already confirms that it will not drop more. Are we winning from here?

Theoretically you should actually defend a hand like that sometimes even vs good players. If there is ever good spot to do that in practice is vs whale like this, who can spew with random offsuit broadway hand.

A little peace of advice:
You wanna improve your game, learn stuff
What we are gonna talk about here are mostly based on "ranges" and actions in front of us.
Since there is not a single person in the world that can come up with a range for a whale (neither should anyone! That's just dumb) you wont get theoretically sound/good advice on how to play your hand in general.
Try to go over hands you play with regulars who know "some"things about poker. Meaning try to analyze your play vs someone who might be doing it as well to get better than them.
This kind of guy shows up once in a while and punts off, reviewing hands vs them wont help you get better.
Playing vs fish is something very dependent on each fish. So there is no logic.
Vs this guy as mentioned I would 3bet pre to 4x or 5x and shove every flop/raise call every flop.

so I should 3-bet him, I thought we were playing in a 4-bet pot, how can I remove the initial raiser from the hand? is there a book on that?

he missed it was a 4b because the original raiser isn't in red. His point still stands though.

Oh it is a 4bet pot alright.
My bad...
Then 4bet to 4x or 5x :-D
Don't go all in, just raise half your stack (enough that there is less than pot size left on the flop)
Again, this advice almost means nothing imo...
(It might help you play with the same kind of whale in the future tho! How often that happen?)

hopefully frequently...don't find many with stats running that crazy, though, even at 5nl
