50nl - Facing donk line from unknown player, seriously confused after arriving at river
Ignition - $0.50 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4
Hero (UTG): 113.58 BB
CO: 100 BB
BTN: 101 BB
SB: 108.02 BB
BB: 102.24 BB
SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB
Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has Q A
Hero raises to 2.5 BB, fold, fold, SB calls 2 BB, fold
Flop: (6 BB, 2 players) 7 A Q
SB bets 4.28 BB, Hero raises to 15.56 BB, SB calls 11.28 BB
Turn: (37.12 BB, 2 players) 8
SB checks, Hero bets 28.22 BB, SB calls 28.22 BB
River: (93.56 BB, 2 players) 5
SB bets 61.74 BB and is all-in,
Hero??
I now think raising flop was probably a **** play considering I block most hands I dominate and really am only getting called by flush draws with high eq and sets. Despite that, still don't know if river is a mandatory call???

Re: 50nl - Facing donk line from unknown player, seriously confused after arriving at river
I would bet larger on the turn closer to pot. Pretty standard fold otr imo against unknown. If you were blocking FDs it would make it a bit harder to fold, but I just don't see how calling is going to be profitable.
I would be curious how other people would feel about over-betting the turn. Unblocking FDs as well as V has all the combo draws.

Flop is obviously a good raise. Your hand has so much equity.
River is brutal! I don't know. Obviously, you have flushes and AQs with As, AA with As and maybe some AKs with As (not sure) and sets. So there is prob enough there to call with. So, maybe a fold given this line is so often a flush. But what if he has A5/A7/A8, then it is an absolute disaster to fold. Tough.

welp sometimes they haz flush sometimes they haz random hands, missed straight draws, 1 pair hands
luckily you only need to be good ~30%, so 7 in 10 times you can lose and still break even

Calling, but not happy even if winning.
If V can bluff this correctly, I might look for softer games....

Call but expect to lose a lot.
I'd lead the river here as a bluff sometimes, logic is you'd expect the IP player to check back once the flush draw completes, so you put them into a tricky spot by leading.
