Hello guys , I was watching a guy playing NL50 and this hand popped up.

Effective stacks 110BB.

Villain CO opens 2.5x (19-VPIP 13-PFR 9-3B 100-F3B 31-HANDS), Hero 3bets to 9BB with K7.

Flop : 7 10 2 (Pot: 15.2BB)
-Villain checks , Hero checks

Turn : 7 10 2 4 (Pot: 15.2BB)
-Villain bets 9BB, hero calls

River : 7 10 2 4 4 (Pot: 33BB)
-Villain bets 19BB, hero calls , Villain shows 89

----------

I don't understand this play. We open pretty wide because he Folds to 3b 100% on 31 hands and he calls. His range probably consists of TT-QQ, ATs-AQs, JTs and KQ probably. (He would 4bet KK+ AK)

Flop : pretty standard check back , we got 2nd pair.

Turn : flush draw on board and villain bets. I think we can call this one but 2nd pair is a bit loose right? He can have us already beat (TT JJ QQ AT).

River: a brick. changes nothing , and villain keeps betting. As a GTO approach he has to bet his whole range here (Value hands: TT JJ QQ AT , Bluff hands: AQ KQ AJ ). Hero decides to call saying "I'm too high up in my range to fold". We dont block any T , any clubs .... we only beat A high and air. What's our range here and we are high? K7o is a bluffing hand that we opened based on his stats. Even if we were on top of our range (AK) we were probably already beat. What are your thoughts? Which part am I getting wrong? Would you check call 2 streets with hands like JJ QQ or raise them? If so in which street?

Villain probably played a balanced line. Is our line balanced?

Hero should start by folding preflop, regardless of his position. A line cannot be balanced, a range can.

A bit loose? flop and turn are 100% standard and good. River's fine too.

You really went off the reservation with these thoughts. The K7o guy played awful preflop and played good post. The 89s is a bad bluff. He's very likely overbluffing here if he's taking a club hand and a hand that blocks us from having a straight draw and bluffing. In addition to that, when the IP person takes this line, he's rarely folding river. He has 7x/weak Tx/88/99/AK and they're not folding river. I don't even think the 89s is a great call pre given that the IP player made it 9bbs from 2.5. These guys aren't thinking about GTO, they both have extremely obvious fundamental leaks in their games.

Why do you think this?

Thats right , but as played why do we call it down? We only beat his air hands. Are there more combos of air than 1 pair + on his range?

Why's that? He missed an open-ended draw , what are good bluff hands then?

It depends on his range but ffs I indirectly answered your question in my post:

I'll let you take it from there.

As is the case with any bluffcatcher. You're supposed to lose the majority of the time when you call. Welcome to poker.
