50 NL 5 Players
Villain ($100): Tight Aggressive but has opened up a bit more IP
Me ($72): UTG Js Td
BB ($15): newly seated
Preflop
I raise to $1.50 UTG
MP folds, Villain Btn calls $1.50
Reasonable to assume his range may open up in the btn to possible A6o-A9o, 56s+, K9s-J9s, A2s-A6s plus non-3betting broadway and pairs
Villain 3B before with AQo so a possible 6% to 8% 3-Betting range
Flop ($4.60): 4c 7h 10c
BB checks, I bet $2.37
Villain Btn calls $2.37
BB folds
Turn ($9.49): 4c 7h 10c 3d
I check, villain bets $7.55, I call
River ($24.59): 4c 7h 10c 3d 9d
I check, villain bets $24.59
I call $24.59

JTo is to loose to open UTG. I also dont think anyone other then callingstations flats an UTG open with those hands you mentioned! A6o-A9o, K9s-J9s etc. His range is probably weighted towards middlepocketpairs and strong broadways. Dont think there are many SC, those are typically in reg's 3bettingranges. Im just working with your description of standard tight agressive. Those hands you mention suit the BB more since he looks like a fish with those stacksizes.
I Don't mind the flopbet with the fish in the pot but keep in mind that this is also a good spot to check! Reason beeing is that JT is not really a hand to feel comfortable to tripple barrel for value and you like some potcontrol. It has stable Showdownvalue and can pick up equity on the turn. Checking this helps to strenghten your checkingrange, since when you X it is mostly giveups and 55-99. This is a range that an observant opponnent might try to apply pressure on. So checking some Toppairs is a good idea. But again, the presence of the fish leads me toward betting. With no fish in the pot you should X. And opening JTo UTG even with a fish in the BB is just to loose

Villian called an UTG cbet into 3 people, his range is quite strong, not sure if we should fold or call turn but DEFINETLY fold river

Fold JTo in MP. Even bad regs aren’t calling medium unsuited aces with these positions.
I’m not going to look at ranges in Equilab, but I’m pretty sure the river’s a fold. You only beat a few combos of clubs. Villain has plenty of sets and better Tx.

Sorry I forgot to mention that I was raising much more heavily at this point during my session because most people were playing nitty. It also seemed like villain was calling a lot more of my hands as well. So that's why I thought he could have had a wider calling range in the btn. I also flatted the turn because my check could have induced a bluff from him. I thought the river was a bluff as well.
I don't normally raise with JTo in this position but given the table scenario I felt this hand was good enough to play.

I also want to mention he was raising much more heavily so in actuality he was a tight aggressive who started opening up his raising range as well.

Play more suited hands if you want to open up. This hand is garbage in MP unless you’re just way way better than everyone in your pool. Also if you feel like BTN is calling you too much, you should be tightening your opening range when they have position on you.

Andy, whitemares. Thank you for your posts. I still can't shake the idea that I made the right call on the turn and river. I just had a gut feel that he was bluffing because of my check on the turn. I saw him also go from $120 to $72 so I felt like he could also be on semi-tilt by this point (but maybe I'm reading too much into it?)
Plus, doesn't my JT also block T's? Am I also to believe that he hit a set.
I however, do see your points regarding JTo in this position.
I apologize for leaving out a lot of information in my first post.
Maybe I need a break right now.

Why villain would call J8 to an UTG raise is a mystery to me, regardless of your play so far. Altozz pointed out that you have the T/J blocker to certain hands; potentially a club draw which picked up equity on the turn? Axc feels possible and his river bluff (when it misses)is plausible because you started to take a passive line on the turn and beyond.
You say you altered your strategy to be laggier, is that something you considered postflop? If so, is it likely that he pot-bets against a loose player with a bluff? Given your image, I'd reconsider and think about folding to the large river bet.
