I have 160 hands with villain, who seems to be a loose reg 36/20. Other stats:

I'm not sure about this either, but replying so maybe someone else can give feedback.
If I fold to that tiny bet on the river I probably fold the turn instead.
If the 5 made him why does he bet so small? To induce?
I think it's more likely that the 5 scare him. Unless he made a weird 2 pairs, if you were beat on the river you were beat on the turn.
Regardless... The guy looks like he's trying to get the money in.
If you call the turn, it means you think he can do that (checkraise flop and lead the turn for 3/4 pot) with just 1 pair.
If he can xraise flop and bet big with 1 pair, then why can't he scaredy-bet for 30% pot with say 8-7, or pocket 8s or 9s?
With his bet sizing, I think you have to either call turn and river, or fold turn.
