50NL fullring game, effective stacks 100BBs

My opponent plays a lot of hands preflop. Might be a bit of a station, but probably isn't afraid of making a move here and there. I was stealing a lot of pots and thought he might make a move against me. On to the hand.

UTG player limps, folds around to me in the SB. I make it $2.50 with A K. BB calls and UTG folds.

Flop($5.20) J J 7
I bet $2.60
BB raises to $5.20
I make it $10
BB calls

Turn($24.09) J J 7 6
I shove all-in for $37.50

I figured AK might even be ahead here if my opponent has a diamond draw. I may fold out pairs. Maybe some weak Jx if I'm lucky. I also block AJ and KJ if that means anything. If I'm wrong I can still get lucky. Thoughts?

Can't you just call the flop minraise? I'm not sure if much good comes from 3-betting the flop with a hand like this, as villain snap-folds all the hands you're crushing, and mostly only continues with hands that are ahead or that have very good equity.

I suppose I could take that line. Would my plan then be to check/raise all in on the turn given the club? I could always check/call that turn, but I feel like that would be pretty risky.

Given that I 3-bet flop, do you think shoving turn is good?

3-betting flop might look super strong and also has the chance to make flush draws become super passive and check down which would be great if turn came something that completely missed me. The pros for just calling may be better though for the reasons you mentioned. I was worried that if I just called his bet, the sizing on the turn would make it awkward for me to continue even with hitting a draw.

I suppose folding is another option and probably standard, but I don't like doing that if I can help it.

Can't take this thread seriously.

It isn't really random, it is simply a low frequency play which may or may not be all that great. I do have a backdoor club draw and two high cards. I could do this with the diamond draw, Jx, or a house, but perhaps I'm taking a different line with some of those. Do you not ever 3-bet bluff this flop?

It's a very standard flop x, betting is not really a v-bet, you don't have a good barreling opportunity on turns on a paired board, and your hand plays quite well as a flop xc.

After you bet and get raised, 3betting is really bad, you're up against a range that cold called a 5x SBvEP iso, so I don't think you should 3b bluff flop with anything. This hand plays fine as a call, and I also might just muck it vs. some players.

On this turn you have to get the rest in, but it might make sense to xc instead of jam yourself, to let him bluff some diamonds hand that you dominate with your AK hi. A hand like QTdd prob has to fold when you jam, but prob jams when you check. And you don't really lose much EV when turn goes X/X. Occasionally you might show down and lose to TT on a blank river (which might have folded turn had you jammed) but you also might save some $ the times when V decides to trap turn with Jx (and you get to xf blank rivers or stack him when you hit your flush).

Sorry for flaming.
