No reads on villain. I figured I was value jamming vs an overpair, but then again I really have no clue about No Limit Holdem (hands played today are probably > hands played in 2-3 years before that). Most of my action is in PLO, and I would obviously check-fold here. Is this a standard 3-bet before the flop? Any thoughts on my sizings? My guess is my flop raise and/or turn sizing are too small and I should aim for getting it in on the turn?

Any help is appreciated.

I get it that it sucks having top set get sucked out on, but the river was one of the worst hands in the deck for you, draws are over half the hands he is continuing with.

Checking is your only option, then if you want you can call hoping he turns a pair into a bluff but I would advise against it.

And if I learned anything at the micros it's that nobody folds anything to a 3x check raise. Make it at least 4x and save your 3x for a rainbow board or when you have quads.

Raise pre-flop.

Raise bigger on the flop, bet more on the turn.

Check the river and evaluate. I'd suggest calling at a bluffcatcher frequency. If they go all in for value it should be with something that's beating you.
