we miss so much value by just check/calling
can you really fold to the shove?

Like the idea of leading turn small to deny some equity from hands that would be just pure give ups and to gain some protection/value for your hand. Type of villain is unlikely to pressure you here with raising frequently.

On the river don't think your hand has a mass amount of value but villain likely doesn't fold any boats so don't mind potting the river here and folding to raise.

Would be super happy to fold this hand otr vs this line. Is it more likely that villain has played quads in a tricky way or he's just now decided to get to the river with JQ and rip it here?

Don't we only lose value when villain has more worse hands that will call us versus worse hands that will fold and Ax or JJ+

Can we fold the river? Of course we can. I'm not saying villain always has an Ace when he shoves, but there is absolutely nothing in his line that would suggest he can never show up with an Ace here.

or JJ-KK or 88 or 66

just bet river rather than x/r, with the not-full stack at micros he's likely pretty passive and his calling range will be wider than his betting range. might even bet turn

Pretty sure I beat 88 & 66?

Why would villain be checking an A behind on the turn?

oh my bad lol wasn't thinkng straight there, just woke up. I do think this is a bigger overpair or A a lot (also 99 and bluffs some % of the time obviously). He checks turn with As sometimes because he's a 75bb fish and they love to slowplay, it's in their blood.

But what to do against the 3b of your x/r is a less important question to focus than what you should be doing instread of x/ring here, which is leading. x/c would be better if we had a read that he stabs but readless assume these fishoids over-call more than they over-bluff.

bet small, call a raise that isn't a gigantic 234235xpot shove because sometimes the tiny bet makes them spazz, ez game
