villain 42/32 33 hands

Hard for villain to have any natural bluffs in this spot, board much better for his range than mine as he has all sets, 78s, and some two pairs, whilst i'm capped at overpairs mostly. Although a small sample, villains stats plus the fact i'd expect him to be trying to get it all in on the river with any value hand were the reasons for my call in this spot.

If I were in your shoes, I would just raise flop to like 7 dollar and call of shoves or if he calls shove good turns.

Your line is ok but not is not maximizing ev.

aren't we just value owning ourselves most of the time by getting this in on the flop though?

Not in my experience. Sure maybe he had you this time. However, I have seen this line on the flop vs guys like your villain and have been shown weaker pair so often.

Also if he had value he has a really weak checking range i 3bet-pots and potentially overall so not a fan of his line at all. Regardless of what he had.

Raising flop might be better. I hate that turn, because one of the hands I want to stack against on the flop is TT, and another is T9s. Villain's turn barrel has me hating life, tbh, so the river is close to a fold. You only beat jacks, or a weirdly played 88/77. I guess you have to call at that price, but it's gonna be close to the bottom of your range.

Fold turn or river is probably the best play but it's very tempting to call at this price

Villains almost always has set or straight here imo

Definitely don't raise at any point our value in this hand is from reg fish like this doing random crazy bluffs

He showed up with 86s which I actually quite like as a bluff, if he sizes it to get all in OTR I'm probably folding

His river sizing doesn’t make sense. His line is decent though but he should pre.
