Interesting hand due to V's strange bet sizing... (bet pot on every street basically).

So usually I'd be re-raising the flop here with both sets in my range, and possibly JQ/ all 2 pairs for value, along with a mix of 78 and flush draws as bluffs.


The thing that put me off was V's sizing... he bet pot on flop & turn. This SCREAMED top/middle set or JQ for flopped straight that is scared of spades. I figured the best line to take here is to call down most non-threatening runouts that don't complete straights/flushes. Should I ever be raising on either flop or turn considering V's huge sizing?

You would be raising, not re-raising.

You can probably raise nut straights vs his sizing. He seems content to want to GII. River is gross. You beat no value hands and I don't think he pots KTs 3 streets.

I'd raise the nuts and thats it. That guys a **** monkey.

You’ve got 87 and QJ at some frequency so you can probably let this hand go as a soft exploit.

Don’t be worrying about this ‘top of range’ malarkey if the other guy has TT, KK or QJ 80% of the time and 87s the other 20%.

im not folding a set lol, if you fold a set then youre gonna be bluffed too often, flush draw missed and he could be value betting top 2. Ez call imo and sick cooler if you lost.

Villain could be bluffing? Seems like our range is a lot of 1 pair + draw type hands and villain could be tripling AQ/AJ type hands given blockers. They might even be barreling AK/AA for value some % given how your range looks based on lack of flop/turn xr.

Definitely not folding the vast majority of the time but of course not absolutely thrilled about it.

At this stake and these sizings id be shocked if 99 was good here lol
