The guy is a reg. Thoughts? My range as CO is fairly wide, as is his on the button. But, his range is polarized here because he's likely calling most Tx hands. I don't think he has JJ or QQ here and he's likely folding lower pocket pairs. With no obvious draws that missed and the fact that players at 25NL don't bluff raise river ever I don't know what I beat here. I'm getting good odds but that doesn't matter much when I'm dead most of the time.

edit: I can't get it to work with my converter. I have KcKs in CO

iPoker - $0.25 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

SB: 101.4 BB (VPIP: 24.88, PFR: 18.47, 3Bet Preflop: 6.05, Hands: 2,202)

BTN: 182.72 BB (VPIP: 18.85, PFR: 14.44, 3Bet Preflop: 4.09, Hands: 1,166)

SB posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

fold, CO raises to 2.8 BB, BTN calls 2.8 BB, fold, BB calls 1.8 BB

Flop: (8.8 BB, 3 players) 2 T 4
BB checks, CO bets 6.36 BB, BTN calls 6.36 BB, fold

Turn: (21.52 BB, 2 players) 8
CO bets 13.96 BB, BTN calls 13.96 BB

River: (49.44 BB, 2 players) 8
CO bets 31.56 BB, BTN raises to 159.6 BB, CO ?

I think I'm calling. 8x is limited to mostly just 78hh and 89hh that floats multiway. 22 and 44 probably raise flop or turn, TT might too. We rep a strong hand so any of those sets will raise frequently OTT expecting to get called. T8 should 3bet pre. A "good reg" could be turning 99 into a bluff with good blockers. Possibly missed clubs.

Honestly I don’t think regs are making a lot of good river bluffs. I would expect a hand like 99 or AT to get shoved from someone who is clueless though. I just don’t see much river bluffing just like I never see many 4bet bluffs.

I've never seen people go crazy and bluff raise shove river at 25NL
he's repping a slowplayed sets that didn't raise on the turn...opponent stats are on the nit side...the reason he's slowplaying is coz ppl just run away when he raises that turn hence the river ship
his range tends to be more weighted towards 88/10's

sure you can put some thoughts into it and say villain was random floating with hands like 56suited, then he misses that river, and now wants to rep an 8....
or villain all of sudden turns a made hand(10x) into a bluff, it can happen but rare

anyhow, i think it's the easiest snap fold

also, instead of betting the river, have you thought about check/folding or check/calling?
check/call as to protect your double barrel range, and possibly having the best hand
check/fold as a read that villain has it coz you think he's a nit
and also it seems alot harder to go 3streets of value nowadays in single raised pots unless vs a calling station
just some point of thought, and something to worth thinking about

and imagine you're in villain shoes, when you 3barrel, your range is pretty much face up, {A10,K10, JJ+, 22, 44, 88} or some random bluffs like j9,qj
so maybe in the future, occasionally throw some checks in between turn/river for disguise+balance, and need some 3barrel bluffs range to balance your 3barrel range as well

I call here and don't think too much of it. If Villain has a boat or quads that's fine. Just make a note and move on.

All bluff catch situations are the same.

Does he bluff enough? Call
Not sure? Like truly not sure.. then jus defend your range and this probably falls into it.

I think to be a winning player you have to fold these spots.

Probably a fold. Vil bluffs are basically AKcc and AQcc that floated the flop. If this vil can pull that trigger then fine, well played. This is almost always a FH.

I ended up calling and villain showed 22. The entire time I was thinking fold because I was likely beat but I just couldn’t do it. I tend to call too much on the river in spots where I’m likely beat.

I had Kc so that removes that bluff.

You could fold AA and KK with a club . These A and K flush draw blockers are about as significant as blockers get, which is about 5 percent equity added to the fold decision. Not many bluff combos left for villain, except a frisky 35cc.
